Booking your flights during airline sales can be a brilliant tool for getting a holiday as cheap as possible. If you search around for the best bargains you can make some serious savings.

Airlines will all have their sales at various times, but chances are they will be at either peak holiday-booking season or at quieter times of the year when seats are harder to sell. If you book during a peak holiday season you might be able to get yourself a cheap deal which includes accommodation and transfers as well. If you’re looking for a long haul-flights there are also some excellent deals to be found on these. If you are able to fly  out of season this can prove especially cheap and flights may be considerably less than you’d usually have to pay.

It can also be beneficial if you’re flexible about your destination when booking a holiday. During a sale, flights will sell out very quickly and the more open minded you are, the better your chance of securing an excellent deal.

Normally when shopping for flights during a sale, you will be given the most limited travel options possible. This means that cancellations will not usually be possible and there may be more extensive terms and conditions than usual. Whilst this isn’t anything out of the ordinary, always read the small print to make sure that you know what you’re getting yourself into.
